VSE Smart Steering is an electrohydraulic steering assistance system that allows a self steer axle to be steered active during forward and reverse driving of a trailer. It is a standard system for one self steer axle.

THE SYSTEM

The big advantage is that it is now possible to make a trailer with a self steer axle more efficient and suitable for a broader range of loading and unloading situations. After all, the rear axle no longer has to be set to a fixed position when driving in reverse.

In addition, with a self steer axle you can reach multiple locations without manoeuvring. This saves you a lot of time and provides more options at loading and unloading locations!

One size stainless steel system locker with removable cover. Two steering cylinders, an angle sensor, a kingpin and various cables are also supplied
Suitable for one self steer axle with an axle load up to 10 tonnes
Possible with a self steer axle from BPW, SAF, Gigant and Tecma.
System temperature range: -30 to +40 °C
Steering up to 25 km/h
The system weighs 40 kg
