Hemscheidt and VSE are two independent companies, each with its own specialisation. By combining our strengths, we offer vehicle manufacturers and OEMs a single point of contact for both suspension and steering — two disciplines that are inseparably linked in a modern vehicle.
Hemscheidt develops and manufactures hydropneumatic suspension systems and dampers for heavy commercial vehicles. With in-depth knowledge of vehicle dynamics, energy management and system integration, Hemscheidt delivers systems that improve ride comfort, stability and availability.
VSE (Vehicle Systems Engineering) develops electro-hydraulic steering systems for rear axles and self-steering axles on trucks, trailers and special vehicles. The systems are based on the Ackermann principle and ensure optimum steering angles for every vehicle configuration, delivering better manoeuvrability, shorter turning circles and less tyre wear.
