As Belgian specialists in recovery operations and exceptional transport, ADB Assist understands better than anyone how important efficiency and reliability are. Transporting vehicles quickly and safely is their specialty. To improve their performance even further, they have chosen a Pavelli trailer fitted with VSE’s Advanced Steering 2E technology. The two steered rear axles enable ADB Assist to access even the most difficult locations with ease.

Versatility on any terrain
ADB Assist is a Belgian, family-run business that specialises in recovering and transporting anything on wheels, from motorbikes to lorries and coaches. This includes motorbikes, cars, lorries and coaches. They can transport loads of up to 140 tonnes. ADB Assist works with virtually all insurers, assists the police in clearing the roads, and transports more than a thousand vehicles across Europe every year.

Recovery operations often take them to challenging locations that are difficult to reach, such as narrow streets, steep embankments and busy junctions. Their new trailer is fitted with the Advanced Steering 2E system, enabling them to tackle these challenges with ease.

“Thanks to the steered rear axles, we can now access areas that were previously difficult to reach. This makes our work easier, faster and safer,” says Pieter Vanlersberghe, owner at ADB Assist.

The trailer is much easier to manoeuvre, which makes work more enjoyable and less physically demanding for drivers. Furthermore, they can react more quickly, which is crucial in recovery operations where time is of the essence.

“We really notice the difference on narrow roads and in tricky bends. Where we used to have to manoeuvre a lot, we can now drive straight through in one smooth movement,” adds co-owner Jean-Marc Dumon.

Why VSE?
VSE has decades of experience in the field of steering and suspension systems. In collaboration with Hemschedt, we develop electro-hydraulic and hydropneumatic systems that make vehicles more manoeuvrable, safer and more sustainable. Our Advanced Steering 2E system enables vehicles to navigate complex situations with ease, allowing companies such as ADB Assist to work more quickly and efficiently.

This steering system gives ADB Assist a flexible trailer. Whereas a standard trailer would struggle to manoeuvre, this trailer remains agile. This means less time is lost, there is less disruption to traffic, and above all, recovery operations are safer and more efficient.

A smart investment
By investing in VSE technology, ADB Assist is taking the next step towards innovation and professionalisation. This partnership demonstrates the significant impact that smart technology can have on day-to-day operations. This decision enables them to serve their customers even better and remain at the forefront of their sector, regardless of the terrain or circumstances.
