Belgian transport company Transport Philippe Muysewinkel has taken delivery of its fourth LinTrailers semi-trailer. VSE installed the Advanced 3EB semi-trailer steering system at LinTrailers in Venlo. The system allows the driver to steer all three trailer axles using a wireless remote control – a practical feature when manoeuvring in locations with restricted access.
Manoeuvring on construction sites
Transport Philippe Muysewinkel specialises in transporting larger, more complex and less conventional loads, among other services. The new combination is fitted with a loader crane for positioning items such as glass, machinery and containers.
This work requires more than lifting capacity: the combination also needs to reach the right position. Space for manoeuvring can be limited on construction sites and at other locations with restricted access. Being able to steer all three trailer axles using a wireless remote control helps the driver manoeuvre the semi-trailer into the required position.
